Crosslinked Polyethylene Tubing with Oxygen Barrier.
5/8″ diameter, rated at 120° F @100 psi.
This tubing is part of our “High-Performance” line of tubing that was developed under grant support from the U.S. Department of Energy many years ago. Its larger size and slightly thinner walls means that it will put out more heat than many other tubes. In addition, it is relatively easy to work with, is long lasting and saves on electricity needed for pumping.
It is ideal for slabs, joisted floors and retrofit applications. Its higher performance allows the system to operate at a lower temperature for higher efficiency. Because of its thinner wall, this tubing may or may not be accepted by local codes.
